DIY Wedding Ideas Part II

In DIY Wedding Ideas Part II we will learn how to save yet even more money with further DIY tips. These ideas have been put together so that the minimum of expense is incurred. Obviously you may wish to purchase slightly more expensive materials. However, when mass-produced there is very little difference in the end product. In fact if you are having an evening wedding when lighting is dim you will see no difference at all.

DIY Wedding Ideas Part II, How To Make ……..

Make Your Own Pew Ends:

You will need to purchase the following:

- thick ribbon in your wedding colour
- a length or thin wire or thin/narrow ribbon the same colour

Ribbon-Tying Method For A Single Bow:
(1) Unravel some of the ribbon and loop one end over the remainder. Hold in place with your thumb and forefinger.
(2) With more ribbon, form the second loop of the bow, and bring the rest of the ribbon back over he top, to make an x-shape at the center.
(3) Pleat the center of the bow with your fingers, working from the center outwards, in both directions.
(4) Secure the bow’s center with a length of narrow ribbon. Open the loops and arrange the trailing ends.

For A Double Bow: continue to make a third and forth loop by repeating steps 1 and 2, then pleat and secure as in steps 3 and 4 above.

For A Rosette Bow: with six loops repeat steps 1 and 2 three times prior to pleating and securing. For a deluxe rosette bow with eight loops repeat steps 1 and 2 four times prior to plating and securing.

How To Put Together Your Own DIY Disaster Kit

Every bride should have a disaster kit. Mine consisted of the following:

- superglue for a broken nail, and nail polish, alternatively
- pre-paint one set of false nails cut to size and filed to shape in your wedding nail polish with some blue-tac to fix it (it’s quicker and cleaner than glue!)
- touch up cosmetics
- headache tablets
- stomach calmer tablets
- curling tongs, brush, and hairspray
- perfume and deodorant
- spare undergarments
- needle and thread
- plasters

Put Together Your Own Wedding Music

Irrespective of whether you are having a church or civil wedding making a tape, or CD, of the music you wish to be played will cut down costs. You could then get it reproduced to use as wedding favors.

I hope you have found my DIY Wedding Ideas Part II useful. Again should you have any wedding ideas that you would like to share why not email me and I will include them on my DIY Wedding Ideas Part II page.
