DIY Wedding Favors Part II
DIY Wedding Favors Part II: having learnt how to make your own sugared almond bonbonnieres in part I, let us consider some alternatives. As part of a DIY wedding involves delegating some tasks, if making sweets is not your forte, then see if there is a willing friend who would be willing to assist. That then just leaves you with the gift boxes to put them in which may be purchased from any dollar store.

DIY Wedding Favors Part II: Glasses (Wine Goblets)
Here you have two options, (a) engrave some glasses with your name and date of your wedding, or (b) hand paint some glasses with, for instance, a picture of your key wedding flower.
For both of these favors you will need to purchase one glass per guest, factor in a couple of breakages and allow a few extra as a commemorative present for yourselves. There are several hand held engravers on the market to suit all budgets. Glasses of poor quality do tend to shatter more easily than those of a higher quality.
If going for the glass painting option a quick visit to your local hardware store should offer you a range of paints suitable for glass. Most only hold prime colours, so you will have to mix some colours yourself to extend the range. The most effective hand painted glasses I have seen have had an outline sketch of the object concerned in gold and then coloured in with single brush strokes.
