10th April 2005: the wedding of Prince Charles to Camilla Parker-Bowles “A love story 35 years in the making” was a popular heading around the world.

4th May 2005: “Jilted but still keen to marry”. The Atlanta bride who disappeared may be sued $US50,000 to cover the cost of looking for her. It is reported that Miss Jennifer Wilbanks called to say she had been kidnapped. In fact she had suffered an attack of nerves and needed time to resolve some issues first before walking up the aisle. Her fiancé Mr John Mason is still standing by her.

5th May 2005: “Marry him, judge tells rape victim”. A New Delhi judge asked a 22 year old woman to consider marrying her rapist. The reason – the man known as Bhura, would receive a lighter sentence. This sounds mad in Western culture. However, the rapist said the gesture was made as no one else would marry her because of the stigma attached to rape in Indian society. The woman declined!

Jason Priestley had a lavish Bahamian wedding to English born make-up artist Naomi Lowde. Naomi wore a strapless gown by St Pucci and Jason a suit by Hugo Boss. The wedding celebration was also a reunion of all the former cast of Beverly Hills 90210

Forbidden Love: Mary Kay Letourneau was the notorious teacher who had an affair with a 12 year old boy Vili Fualaau. A seven and a half year prison sentence and two children later Ms Letourneau married her young lover on 20 May 2005. The wedding cake was co-ordinated with the decoration on Mary's dress.

A Survivor Beach Wedding: 24 May 2005 for Rob Mariano and millionaire Amber Brkich in an off white wedding gown which she designed herself.

After a three month romance Jack White (of the White Strips) wed in Brazil to British model Karen Elson on 1 June 2005.

Jemma Kidd married Arthur Mornigton (Earl of Mornigton) in Barbados on 3 June 2005.

There is speculation that Keanu Reeves has finally tied the knot with Autumn Macintosh in a secret ceremony in LA.

Cricketer Mark Waugh married racehorse trainer Kim Moore. Kim wore a dress designer by Penny Punch of Parramatta's Vision in White.
