Hi my name is Sarah and I am the Author of this site.

I currently live in Perth with my husband, daughter and our dogs. I'm what has now become termed a Work A Home Mom, although my English upbringing would always tell me to say mum.

This site is all based no my experience of putting together my own wedding, mostly by myself. Why? Wel my mum an dad were in the middle of another house move, my husband was off in the middle of his career and an MBA but I still wanted a white wedding that any your girl dreams of, but without the "Wedding Planner" price tag.

In the end it all worked out well.  So well in fact that my Daughters Godmother asked me for the files and copied everything we had done, but changed the band, food and songs to an Irish theme.  Yes you guessed she was from Ireland.  Anyway that gave me the idea of writing a book about it, which then turned into the idea of a website as I did not really want to charge people.  But you can read below how that has not stopped me making some money out of it.

I know you came here to learn how to do your own wedding but I decided to add this section because I get a lot of questions about why I give away so much information for free.

Because I was once where you are now. I wanted to have the best wedding ever, but not spend the earth and put our new marriage under the strain of debt right from the off.  And I know how hard it was to get going so I said I would build a website to educate others.

I used a web host calledSite Build It. It caters to beginners, but its applicable to anyone. In fact I kept talking about doing that that my husband, Mr Romantic, bought me a SBI site for Christmas.  Not exactly what I wanted but I must say it got me going.

And that's what a lot of Women I know want.  A part time income, not necessarily a job, that they can work around their little ones, families who have to be looked after and a whole host of other stuff.  But and this is the big one, to be in charge of how much they want out by the effort they put in.  So instead of it costing me anything to maintain this website, it actually returns a small profit.

You probably found this site by using a search engine. Well that's what SBI helps me with. It showed me how to build pages that rank high in the major engines so I can get as much free traffic as possible.

As for the money, Google has a program called Adsense, and it allows you to help them advertise by placing text ads on your pages.

I don't like the phrase "easy money", but it's the closest I've ever come to such a concept in my life!

I'm not allowed to tell you how much I make a month using Google but I can tell you its more than the yearly cost of the site and then some.

If you've got some spare time, you should try it. I wouldn't recommend it if I didn't use it myself. My advice is to pick a topic that you have a personal interest in. Think about your hobbies or passions?

Do you have the solution to a problem that can help people? Beauty? Playing Tennis? Boys? Children? The topic can be anything. Just make sure you are interested enough in the topic to build a useful, informative site - otherwise you'd get bored and abandon it.
